Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute design strategies that align with client objectives, ensuring high standards are met.
  • Act as the primary client liaison, managing the approval process with public agencies.
  • Engage in marketing and business development activities, including lead generation and pursuing new opportunities.
  • Handle administrative and financial duties such as invoicing, budget tracking, proposal writing, change orders, timecard approvals for the team, and attending necessary meetings.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Create project schedules and oversee the workflow coordination of the design team, in collaboration with the Senior Project Manager.
  • Lead the preparation of plans, technical reports, cost estimates, and other deliverables, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective designs that meet client and agency standards.
  • Manage client and agency relationships, resolving design issues, and ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and internal departments, initiating project phase meetings as needed.
  • Conduct site visits and investigations for proposals, designs, and marketing materials, and oversee construction visits to ensure design conformity.
  • Monitor team workload and communicate resource needs to the Senior Project Manager.
  • Provide staff mentorship, conduct performance reviews, and facilitate training.
  • Ensure accurate time tracking for projects and timely submission of employee timecards.
  • Manage project budgets, billing, and change orders as necessary.
  • Promote and implement new ideas and processes that enhance project outcomes.
  • Represent the company in client and agency meetings.
  • Participate in professional development by attending seminars and classes, and applying new learnings to improve processes.


Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • Supervise a team of 1-5 engineering staff in coordination with the Principal or Senior Project Manager. Responsibilities include interviewing, training, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and addressing any issues, all in compliance with company policies and relevant laws.


Qualifications:


  • A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, combined with
  • At least ten years of relevant experience
  • PE license
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
