Position Summary
The Med Gas Sales Representative will generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining new and recurring sales within the healthcare industry. He/she will communicate with customers within their territory on a regular basis to develop rapport and better understand their needs. They will create and maintain a sales plan for their assigned territory that meets or exceeds a profit goal.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts
- Building rapport with various healthcare administrators and key decision makers
- Providing high level technical information and explanations in regards to MTA capabilities and offerings
- Maintain and improve quality results by being proactive, following sales best practices and using CRM tools
- Carefully and thoughtfully document contact history and notes within CRM
- Accomplish department and organization goals set forth by the Regional Manager
- Explore opportunities to drive efficiencies within the Sales role and communication process
- Follow policies and procedures that result in regular call cycle contacting and follow up
- Preparing materials for quotes and upcoming events
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, hold equipment, and drive for extended periods of time.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position and hours of work are typically Monday-Friday but will vary based on the needs of the customer.
- This job can include some occasional nights and weekends.
Travel
- 75% or more of travel may be required, with possible overnight stays.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Established sales background in healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Positive attitude and strong in building relationships
- Consistent follow through in meeting deadlines
- Highly self-motivated and can easily work with little supervision
- Ability to travel, work flexible hours & adjust the schedule as required to meet customer needs
- Must show commitment to the company’s core beliefs of integrity, safety and customer service
