Contracting and Acquisition Agent IV - F14D 

This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Annual Salary: $75,000.00 + Full State Employee Benefits

 

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of three years of technical clerical work plus three years of experience involving contracting and purchasing;

or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substitution is only allowed for three years of technical clerical experience. 

Note: Experience should include the following procedures: sending out invitations to bid and making telephone bids, evaluating bids or telephone price quotes, awarding contracts and/or issuing purchase orders, working with users and understanding their needs and requirements, and assuming the responsibility for the correct evaluation and determination of bids and proposals.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Position supervises four (4) Certified Procurement Officers. Position and subordinate staff are responsible for the coordination of agency needs to the appropriate procurement and contracting process.
  • Reviews and approves requisitions, and works with division staff to understand agency needs.
  • Coordinates the development, negotiation, and execution of solicitations and contracts.
  • Issues purchase orders and change orders. Liaison to the Office of Management & Enterprise Services related to procurement and contracts. Provides training, technical assistance, guidance, and direction to division staff, Procurement staff, and agency leadership.
  • Position supervises the CPOs responsible for the acquisition of goods and services for the administrative divisions of OKDHS, as well
    as all information technology purchasing.
  • Position is required to obtain and maintain Certified
    Procurement Office Level 2 certification within six (6) months of hire date.

Preference may be given to a candidate who has Two (2) Years or more experience in purchasing/contracting for information technology, construction, and/or real property leasing.
