Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods, supplies, and materials required for our projects. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers. The Purchasing Manager will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement, while also maintaining high quality standards.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies based on project requirements and cost targets.
  • Source and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to identify and forecast procurement needs.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials and supplies.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
  • Stay informed about market trends, new products, and industry developments that may impact procurement decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and partnership.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiations and cost savings.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
