WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Though we do need to meet some minimum requirements for the position such as a High School Diploma and a current California LPT or LVN License we're really looking for people who bring their HEART to work.

If you have previous experience in a mental healthcare hospital environment where your attention was focused on human behavior, psychiatry, psychology, or other mental healthcare situations, your application to this position will be moved to the shortlist of candidates.

To deliver quality direct patient care under appropriate clinical supervision to patients with psychiatric and/or addictive illnesses or related mental health problems; to serve actively and constructively as a member of the organization's multi-disciplinary treatment team, and support the organization's philosophy of care; to serve as the milieu management expert, leading/guiding other members of the team to successfully verbally de-escalate patients with the goal to reduce and ultimately eliminate the need for seclusion, restraint, and compelled medications. Outstanding written and oral communication skills; legible handwriting, ability to interact effectively with clinical team and other staff; organizational, problem-solving and time management skills; empathy for patients and their families; flexibility; telephone etiquette and customer service skills for phone and face-to-face contacts; skills in maintaining information as highly confidential. Advanced knowledge of mental health/mental illness.

The LVN or Licensed Psychiatric Technician position wage range is $26.07 to $40.66 per hour based on experience + education.

Requirements

High School degree or equivalent. Current CA - LPT or LVN license.

CPR and Handle with Care prior to completion of orientation.
