Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team at the State of California. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals in our correctional facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients in accordance with the Mental Health Program Guide, policies and procedures, and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the health care team to ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients.
  • Support the care team for daily health care operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the health care team.
  • Address the ongoing needs of patients and work with the members of the larger health care team to promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources.
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE.
  • Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position.
Working Conditions

Travel may be required.
