Job Description:

As a Senior Economic Consultant at Augmentjobs, you will be responsible for providing expert economic analysis and strategic advice to support decision-making processes and drive business performance. You will lead projects, conduct comprehensive economic research, and deliver insights that influence corporate strategies. Your role will involve working closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to develop and implement economic models, forecasts, and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Economic Analysis: Conduct in-depth economic analyses to evaluate market trends, economic conditions, and potential impacts on business operations and strategies.

  • Model Development: Design and implement economic models and forecasting tools to predict future economic conditions and inform strategic planning.

  • Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their needs, provide tailored economic insights, and develop actionable recommendations to address their business challenges.

  • Report Preparation: Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation summarizing findings, insights, and recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage economic consulting projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outcomes and effective management of project resources.

  • Data Analysis: Utilize statistical and econometric techniques to analyze data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.

  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including finance, strategy, and operations, to integrate economic insights into broader business strategies.

  • Market Research: Conduct market research to understand industry dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging trends.

  • Policy Analysis: Analyze and assess the impact of economic policies, regulations, and market changes on business operations and strategies.

  • Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and analysts, fostering their professional development and growth.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.

  • Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in economic consulting, economic research, or a related field.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in econometric and statistical analysis, with experience using relevant software (e.g., Excel, R, SAS, Stata).

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex economic concepts in a clear and concise manner.

  • Project Management: Proven experience managing consulting projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.

  • Client Engagement: Demonstrated ability to engage with clients, understand their needs, and deliver valuable economic insights and recommendations.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in analysis and reporting.

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and new challenges in a fast-paced consulting environment.
