Job Summary:

Join us in shaping the future of aviation Objective Area Solutions (OAS) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Aviation Consultant with a deep understanding of FAA air traffic systems and enterprise architecture. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the intersection of FAA and DoD air traffic systems, policies, and budget requirements. This part-time role requires a strong grasp of system modernization concepts, change management, user adoption, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

FAA Systems and Enterprise Architecture

  • Provide in-depth knowledge of FAA air traffic systems and the FAA's enterprise architecture roadmap.
  • Understand the integration and interaction between FAA and DoD air traffic systems, including policies and budget requirements.

System Modernization and Change Management

  • Comprehend the concepts of modernization of systems and the associated impacts on change management, user adoption, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Facilitate technical teams through system analysis and design, action planning, and stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth transitions and modernizations.

Acquisition Planning

  • Understand and support acquisition planning for air traffic systems through the AMS lifecycle.

Strategic Planning and Support

  • Provide strategic planning support for senior managers, helping to shape and guide overall cloud strategy.
  • Work independently with client senior stakeholders to develop strategic papers, presentations, and briefing materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience with FAA air traffic systems and enterprise architecture.
  • Strong understanding of FAA and DoD air traffic systems, policies, and budget requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in system modernization, change management, user adoption, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in acquisition planning for air traffic systems through the AMS lifecycle.

Work Requirements:

  • Main Office: Based in Vienna, VA
  • Travel: < 10%
  • Client location: Washington, DC
