Primary Responsibilities

  • Follow the style guide for each product family to clean up and edit product content for use on our e-commerce site
    1. Clean up, edit and verify product descriptions
    2. Verify, edit and add product attributes
    3. Verify, edit and add product features/benefits
    4. Verify, edit and add current images, specification sheets, literature and any other relevant information for a given product
    5. Assist in downloading product data from supplier websites
  • Conduct data-cleansing procedures to rectify errors and inconsistencies in datasets
  • Fill in product asset gaps with images, video, and other sales or specification collateral
  • Work with the marketing team to upload content to e-commerce site
  • Other marketing duties as needed, may include but not be limited to:
  1. SEO activities
  2. Site meta data audits & maintenance
  3. Maintenance activities related to corporate GALarson.com digital asset

Qualification Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Systematic approach to work
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently toward deadlines and set priorities within workload
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Basic understanding of product information management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, or Marketing preferred
  • HVAC Industry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with PIM systems strongly preferred
  • Experience with Optimizely or Kentico CMS preferred

Under the direction of the E-Commerce Specialist and in coordination with product management, this position is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, consistency and reliability of organizational data within our three product segments. The Product Data Coordinator will work with segment product managers to curate product information from our vendors, including descriptions, specifications, images, videos, feature/benefits, and PDFs.
