Our Compliance Department is looking for the perfect Compliance Administrative Assistant to join our team.

In this position, you will work with our management team with tasks related to determining the eligibility of applicants within our affordable housing developments. You will complete many tasks in accordance with affordable housing program requirements such as Tax Credit, Section 8, Rural Development, and HOME programs that are monitored by local, State, and the Federal government.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Perform daily administrative tasks such as monitoring shared department email, answering phones, filing, and sorting mail
  • Review application and recertifications for accuracy
  • Obtain required supporting documentation per program guidelines
  • Generate annual recertification reports and notices per program guidelines
  • Data entry in various computer programs, including Microsoft Office
  • Maintain credentials for Fair Housing as well as secure access to confidential information
  • Perform all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner
  • Assist in required monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting with the management team
  • Additional administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be in office 5 days a week (40 hours)
  • Previous office experience preferred
  • Must be able to work independently effectively and efficiently, as well as a team setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer functions and ability/willingness to learn new software
  • Property management or previous housing compliance experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and/or Yardi preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
