This is for a full-time position. A&G is an on-site agency 3-days/week. The Media Planner/Buyer role is the second level within Media (the first being Associate Media Planner/Buyer and the third being Senior Media Planner/Buyer).

As Media Planner/Buyer, we want you to bring your skills to bear while learning new ones from our experienced team. This role covers four key areas - planning, buying, trafficking and campaign management duties - for our diverse mix of clients. Role Description:

  • Planning
    • Conduct new media partner/vendor outreach and strategic evaluation relative to client’s desired outcomes

    • Review media proposals/plans against the media brief

    • Assist with budget planning

    • Conduct channel (media mix) and audience (segment) research

    • Assist with meeting scheduling

    • Assist with the development of client presentations

    • Research media industry news/trends, applying relevant findings to media plans

    • Adapt to address miscellaneous needs as they arise

  • Buying

    • Create Insertion Orders (IOs) within A&G’s planning and billing system, Advantage

    • Assist with negotiations & vendor contracting

    • Assist with responding to vendor inquiries and client requests

  • Trafficking

    • Translate media plans, creative rotations, and analytics tracking breakouts into lines on the traffic sheet for campaign launch

    • Work with the project management and analytics departments to develop and maintain the campaign trafficking sheets

    • Work with our third-party trafficking partner to create placements, ads, creatives, and tags in Google Campaign Manager (“GCM”)

    • Assist with incorporating creation of UTM parameters and tagging processes for campaign measurement

    • Build campaigns in paid social platforms including ad sets, creative, audience targeting etc. using the traffic sheet details

    • QA across all platforms & internal trafficking documents

  • Campaign Management

    • Maintain plan information and details to track budget pacing according to planned media flights

    • Conduct billing operations duties, including actualization, reconciliation, and troubleshooting

    • Creating and maintaining screenshot decks

    • Campaign optimizations


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communication, Media or equivalent relevant experience

  • 1+ year of media planning & buying experience in an agency or brand setting

  • Hands-on digital media trafficking experience

  • Experience building campaigns in Facebook Ads Manager

  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Refined communication skills, both verbal & written

  • A positive attitude, an accountable work ethic, a friendly disposition, & a sense of humor

  • Strong interpersonal skills and/or a high EQ

  • Organization, effective time management, & the ability to prioritize workload with minimal supervision

  • Experience in Google Campaign Manager (“DCM”)

  • Experience with Google Analytics tagging (e.g. creating UTM parameters)

  • Proficiency in the rest of Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint) and/or their Google product suite equivalents (Docs, Slides, etc.)

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
