The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the production department meets its goals and objectives by organizing various areas of production to work efficiently and effectively while adhering to all appropriate GMP standards. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
  • Follow and implement the assigned production schedule.
  • Plan out work assignments for individual departments.
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and processes to comply with company SOPs.
  • Perform minor adjustments to produce products within specifications.
  • Train new hires on SOPs and GMPs, and conduct monthly/quarterly training as needed.
  • Assist with SAP Implementation.
  • Adhere to all company SOPs and GMPs.
  • Report any deviations in the process to the supervisor and QA/QC.
  • Complete and fill out required reports.
  • Act as a liaison between production and maintenance.
  • Ensure all logbooks are completed and all SOPs are being followed.
  • Aid in the discipline of employees.
  • Ensure the success and well-being of the employees managed.
  • Report safety hazards to the supervisor and maintenance.
  • Oversee and coach employees.
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
  • Check production output according to specifications.
  • Submit reports on performance and progress.
  • Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
  • Train new employees on the safe use of machinery and procedures.
  • Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
  • Analyze and document repeat issues by root causing and help identify preventive measures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
  • Strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills.
  • Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach.
  • Some mechanical experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to understand and follow all company SOPs and GMP guidelines.
  • Intermediate math skills (Multiplication, Division, Conversions, and understanding weights and measures).
