 Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Geotechnical Engineer I to join our team in the Wilmington, DE office. 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the investigation and design of building foundations, earthen structures, and roadways
  • Collect and help interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations and measurements, field testing, and other methods
  • Assist in preparing detailed plans, technical specifications, and reports
  • Perform computations and process data using computer software or other established methods
  • Perform geotechnical laboratory analysis at our on-campus laboratory
  • Observe and document field activities and prepare construction documentation reports
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates for design implementation
  • Perform site inspections under the supervision of senior engineers
  • Demonstrate strong technical writing and communication skills

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited Institution, Master's Degree in Civil Engineering preferred
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience
  • CAD experience a plus
  • Strong calculation skills
  • The ability to interpret work plans
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
