Commercial Lines Account Manager

Turbeville Insurance is seeking a full-time in office Commercial Lines Account Manager at the company’s Columbia location. The Account Manager provides prompt, accurate, and courteous service to customers, producers and company personnel. The position requires a positive attitude and provides a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding, and servicing our commercial accounts.
The following is a list of the essential functions of this position. This list is intended to be representative of the tasks preformed within the position description but is not limited to:
- Service commercial lines accounts as assigned, aiding in rating and quoting as needed
- Binding New & Renewal Coverage – Processing Commercial Lines applications
- Maintain client files in agency management system
- Maintain required licenses
- Respond to requests in a timely manner
- Issue cancellation notices as required
- Service commercial lines accounts to prevent gap and/or lapse in coverage, thus reducing E&O exposures
- On occasion, meet with clients to discuss and handle their insurance needs
- Prepare general correspondence as required for executive officers
- Keep producers fully informed of important activities on their accounts including being sensitive to potential problems and informing management
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience:
- SC P&C Insurance License preferred
- SC Broker License Preferred
- Two Years’ experience in Commercial Lines via an insurance agency environment preferred
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Benefits
The position offers paid time off, as well as paid dental, life insurance, health insurance, and long-term disability for the employee. After completing a year of service, the employee will be eligible for remote work two days a week during the August enrollment period. Employees are also eligible for a bonus program.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: walk; sit for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, step stools, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk and hear; able to push and pull doors. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and team lift in excess of 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
