SOSA is looking for a Head of Business Development with a proven track record in developing partnerships, deal sourcing, and managing relationships with emerging and established organizations in multiple sectors in the US. The Head of Business Development will be responsible for overseeing business engagements with relevant stakeholders and private investors and participating in a variety of business events. Must be highly skilled in project management, result-driven, and translating strategy to execution, preferably experienced in FDI.


Who you are:

  • Have 10+ years of experience in client management globally and business development in both the public and private sectors.
  • Experienced in engaging with the tech and industrial ecosystem. Working with government agencies and FDI projects is a plus.
  • Self-driven professional with experience in managing a team and multiple projects.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Willing to travel abroad a few times a year.
  • Looking to work in an environment that is challenging, high-paced, and results-driven.
  • Must be available to work from our NYC office when needed.


What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with a foreign governmental entity to connect US based companies and investors with business opportunities abroad.
  • Identify qualified leads and nurture them throughout the work funnel.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Analyze business models and investors' needs based on the client's criteria.
  • Identify business opportunities, establish trusted relationships with relevant companies, and convert them into business collaborations.
  • Plan and lead business delegations in the US and abroad.
  • Attend and represent the entity in various promotional activities, trade events, conferences, etc.
  • Lead the communication cycle and customer journey from A to Z.
  • Generate monthly reports according to specific requirements.
  • Plan and execute a yearly plan to meet KPIs and manage the yearly budget for the activity.
