What's your day like?

As the Public Works Road Worker Supervisor at Ferguson Township, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and functionality of our roadways. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating road work and related services, ensuring compliance with municipal regulations and Township standards. Your leadership will guide a dedicated team through essential tasks such as road maintenance, brush and leaf collection, landscaping, and vital winter road maintenance activities like plowing and salting.

With a focus on effective and safe practices, you'll contribute to the well-being of the community, fostering integrity and customer-centricity in every project undertaken.

What you need to be successful

To succeed as a Public Works Road Worker Supervisor at Ferguson Township, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid PA CDL License (Class B required; Class A preferred). Experience in heavy equipment operation, road maintenance, and construction is essential, ensuring that you can effectively manage diverse tasks within the role.

Familiarity with the application of CDL drug and alcohol requirements is preferred, aligning with our commitment to safety and compliance. Additionally, certification in First Aid and CPR is highly regarded, equipping you to respond effectively in emergencies. Any additional certifications related to public works operations will enhance your qualifications and contribute to your success in this critical supervisory position.
