We are currently seeking Traffic Control Technicians (TCT) to join our team and work with the Traffic Control Department at our work sites in the Philadelphia, PA area. Our Traffic Control Technicians maintain a safe work zone by ensuring that traffic stays out of the way of our workers. This involves setting up and removing temporary cones, signs, variable message boards, and safety barriers that show traffic where to drive, as well as holding up signs that tell traffic to either stop or to proceed slowly. If you enjoy working outdoors and have prior construction industry experience, we welcome you to apply. The starting pay is $17.00 per hour.

What You'll Do:
  • Support project as Flagger as needed to create a safe work area
  • Set-up signs, cones, etc. around work areas to divert traffic
  • Lead job site team and instruct / monitor and train crew members on safety and job assignments on occasion
  • Complete daily paperwork accurately and timely
  • Operate a 2-way radio
  • Work under the Supervision of the Project Manager and the TCS
  • Communicate with contractors and relate specific customer / job changes and other information to Supervisor, Project Manager, office staff, or others
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers
  • Work efficiently in a team environment and independently when assigned
What We Need from You:
  • Valid driver’s license required and be able to complete a company sponsored Defensive Driver training successfully
  • 2000 job flagging hours and / or one year of Traffic Control experience strongly preferred
  • Hold a current ATSSA TCT Certification or have the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to lead a small crew is preferred
  • Must be able to wear proper safety equipment (work boots – 6 inch with safety toe, hard hat and safety vest)
  • Comfortable being regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; moving equipment, and machinery parts, and working around moving traffic, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate / loud noise levels
  • Ability to lift / move more than 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
