Oversees and assists in the Retail/Wrapping/Production areas. Ensure that our product meets the company's standards and specifications. Complete, legible and accurate documentation. Must understand and follow all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). Food Safety and Quality Standard Requirements are being maintained daily. Must understand and comply with the company Allergen and HACCP policies. Must communicate with Supervision of any Food Safety or Equipment concerns.

Accountabilities:

  • Monitors area to assure equipment and operators are working according to food safety, quality, legality standards and production schedules.
  • Monitors products and packaging in the bun wrap area and assures that each meets food safety, quality and legality standards. Ensuring that all code dates are correct on packaging prior to shipping.
  • Assists in all operations of production and wrapping. Able to perform each position in the bun wrap area and Retail Area.
  • Responsible for ensuring relief of all breaks and lunches as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring cleanliness of the wrapping room. Keep packaging storage area clutter free and clean.
  • Reads Foreperson's log book before shift begins and record findings after shift ends including all down-time and damages.
  • Ensure all process documents are brought out for the day's start and/or collected at the day's end. Ensure start-up documents are completed daily and any concerns report to Supervision.
  • Keep engineering and Supervision informed of any equipment issues.
  • Keep supplies stocked in wrapping room. (packaging, code tape, kwik-loks, replacement blades).
  • Start up and/or shut down equipment as necessary.
  • Monitor slicer, understand blade setting, blades for sharpness and head pressure. Understand inventory control and staging of product.
  • Perfomre all duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 1-year in manufacturing or food environment
  • Clear and consise. Ability to read and write accurate and legible documentation

Shift: 1st

Hourly Range: $22.00 - $24.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed In this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
