Job Description: As a Stock Associate/Cashier at Global Partners, you will play a dual role in managing inventory and processing transactions. You will be responsible for ensuring that stock levels are maintained and organized, as well as providing excellent customer service at the checkout. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and friendly demeanor will be essential to ensuring a smooth operation and a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Management:
- Receive and unpack shipments, checking items for accuracy and quality.
- Stock shelves, organize inventory, and maintain a clean and orderly storage area.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and restocking as needed.
- Ensure that merchandise is correctly labeled and displayed.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with inventory audits.
Cashiering:
- Greet customers and assist with their purchases and inquiries.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Process returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Provide receipts and manage cash register reconciliations.
- Address and resolve customer issues or complaints with professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a stock associate, cashier, or in a similar retail or customer service role.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
- A friendly and positive attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in retail management or related fields are a plus.
