This dual-role position is crucial in ensuring a smooth customer experience and maintaining a well-organized store.

Job Description: As a Cashier and Stocker at Global Partners, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, assisting with stocking and organizing merchandise, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the store. Your role is vital in ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience and that the store is well-maintained and fully stocked.

Key Responsibilities:

Cashiering Duties:

  • Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
  • Accurately process sales transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.

Customer Service:

  • Assist customers with inquiries about products, promotions, and store information.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Inform customers about ongoing sales, discounts, and loyalty programs.

Stocking Duties:

  • Receive, unpack, and organize merchandise deliveries.
  • Stock shelves and displays, ensuring products are neatly arranged and easy to find.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock or discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized stockroom and sales floor.

Operational Support:

  • Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations.
  • Contribute to a positive and welcoming store atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail, cashiering, or stock management is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and experience handling transactions.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • A positive attitude with a commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in retail or customer service are a plus.
