We are seeking a skilled Systems Security Administrator to join our cybersecurity team. The Systems Security Administrator will play a critical role in implementing, managing, and monitoring security measures to protect our organization's computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats and unauthorized access.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data from cybersecurity threats, including malware, phishing, and unauthorized access.
  • Monitor network traffic for security breaches and intrusions; investigate security incidents and conduct forensic analysis as needed.
  • Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security appliances to ensure effective security controls.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and internal security requirements.
  • Conduct regular security audits and assessments of systems, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices in system design and development phases.
  • Respond to and resolve security incidents promptly; implement incident response procedures and coordinate with stakeholders during security incidents.
  • Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees on cybersecurity best practices and policies.
  • Stay updated with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity technologies; recommend and implement security enhancements and upgrades.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred).
  • Proven experience (X years) as a Systems Security Administrator, Network Security Administrator, or similar role in a corporate IT environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and practices, including network security, endpoint security, encryption, and identity management.
  • Experience with security tools such as firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto), IDS/IPS, SIEM (e.g., Splunk, ELK), antivirus software, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Hands-on experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix), Active Directory, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and experience implementing security controls to meet compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze security incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
