What You Will Do:

  • Design & Modify: Create and enhance product designs for manufacturability and customer satisfaction.
  • Support Sales: Provide technical expertise during the quoting process and customer interactions.
  • Project Management: Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring high standards and timely delivery.

Requirements:

Competencies and Attributes Needed:

  • Educational Background: BS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in engineering within a steel or nickel alloy manufacturing environment; experience with ASME or AWS codes is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP software, Microsoft Office, and 3D Modeling software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Experience in designing products and / or product improvements.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing practices such as forming, welding, and cutting.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to address complex issues.
  • Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project Management: Experience with project management principles and application.
  • Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with Lean and Continuous Improvement practices.
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action training preferred.
  • Interested in leadership development and career growth within the organization.
