Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new and existing products to improve manufacturability and meet customer needs
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Serve as the department's expert technical resource on engineering, compliance, and design
  • Review quoting opportunities and support the sales team and customers with product expertise
  • Communicate with customers on technical matters, including design changes and issue resolution
Requirements:
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering within a steel manufacturing environment
  • Experience with stainless steel or nickel alloys is advantageous
  • Proven experience in product design and improvement
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing practices such as forming, welding, and cutting
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Proficiency with technology, particularly ERP software, Microsoft Office, and 3D Modeling software (SolidWorks preferred)
