Environmental Compliance Consultants is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fleet, Inventory, and Facility Specialist to join our North Pole, AK team. This role is crucial in overseeing and coordinating fleet/equipment and facility maintenance/housekeeping, Managing and maintaining materials and PPE inventories, and supporting our environmental technicians and scientists when needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a background in fleet management or mechanical knowledge, Facility maintenance, industrial inventory management, and a deep understanding of DOT and OSHA requirements. This is a one-person, non-supervisory position that requires the successful candidate to both manage and execute their own tasks/duties with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fleet Management: Oversee ECC’S Northern AK fleet of vehicles and equipment, ensuring all are maintained, serviced, inspected, and compliant with DOT and safety standards.
  • Coordinate repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules on vehicles and equipment.
  • Drive/transport vehicles and equipment for maintenance and jobsite delivery.
  • Conduct and review Daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR) and handle reported discrepancies.
  • Perform minor maintenance and repairs (lights, fluids, wipers, etc.).
  • Wash/clean interior and exterior of vehicles and equipment.
  • Update shared maintenance trackers and reports for the company Fleet Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records related to fleet maintenance, inventory, and compliance activities.
  • Reports to both the local management chain and the ECC Fleet Manager.
  • Facility Maintenance: Manage facility maintenance activities, ensuring all equipment and infrastructure are in optimal working condition.
  • Coordinate major repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on facilities and facility systems.
  • Perform minor to moderate repairs and maintenance on facilities and facility systems.
  • Perform/ensure housekeeping of facilities and facility grounds.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate tracking of inventory, including equipment, tools, containers/drums, supplies, and other materials. Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Consolidate container/drum orders with internal regional facilities and place/track orders with internal and external vendors.
  • Load, unload and transport containers; organize and maintain security of container stock.
  • Complete routine comprehensive inventory of containers, materials, PPE, and Equipment.
  • Maintain Flammable lockers and SDS inventories.
  • Develop and implement a container issue program that ensure full accountability of inventory.
  • Operations Support: Assist environmental technicians and scientists with operational needs.
  • Assist in transportation and setup of equipment and materials.
  • Assist in operation of vac trucks and other equipment
  • Assist with labor associated with Oil Water separator and other Industrial systems maintenance.
  • Assist in organization of waste containers and other housekeeping functions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet management, mechanical knowledge, Industrial inventory management, and/or facility maintenance.
  • Licenses: Class A or B CDL license without an automatic restriction is required; Tank and Hazmat endorsements a plus.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of DOT, OSHA, and environmental compliance regulations.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and set one’s own priorities with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and adherence to standards.
  • Willingness to support other aspects of company operations as needed.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various environmental conditions, and perform physical labor as required.
  • Pass Pre-employment Drug Test including Marijuana.
  • Pass background check for federal installation access.
