The Tax Resolution Specialist handles all aspects of a client’s case. They will communicate directly with the client, working the case from start through closure. The Tax Resolution Specialist receives support from the Firm’s senior managers and director in connection with the Firm’s tax resolution practice. They will focus on federal, state and local level; including matters related to examination, appeals, voluntary disclosures, foreign asset compliance, and collection alternatives. This position will focus specifically on filing of unfiled tax returns, but will also include preparation of annual tax returns.

Requirements:


Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with clients and firm personnel
  • Review, edit and analyze client financial reports
  • Manage workflow, complete tasks daily, ensure deadlines are met, and work is completed accurately
  • Prepare correspondence for the IRS and state Department of Revenue
  • Preparation of tax returns for the firm’s clients

Qualifications

  • Enrolled agent or CPA (preferred but not required)
  • 1 – 5 years public accounting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Unique problems solving aptitude
  • Detail oriented
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Deadline driven
  • Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and collaboratively with other team members
  • Ability to accept and grow from constructive criticism
