JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Are you a tech enthusiast with a knack for solving problems? Join us as an IT Help Desk Intern You'll be the go-to hero for our users, helping them tackle hardware, software, and network hiccups. If you are ambitious and love diving into tech challenges, have a way with people, and are eager to learn; then the Regal Boats IT Help Desk Intern role is perfect for you Note: This is an Onsite position only.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide first-level support to end users via phone, email, or in person.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic networking issues.
  3. Prepare new PCs for deployment, including setting up user accounts, Windows, email, local, and third-party applications.
  4. Troubleshoot and assist users with installation, configuration, and education on the usability of systems, including hardware and software.

Required Qualifications

  1. Must be able to work around 20 hours a week; the schedule can be flexible.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  3. Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and common software applications.
  4. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  5. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  6. Conversational English.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bi-lingual (Spanish) is preferred but not required.
  2. CompTIA ITF+, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional, or similar certifications are preferred but not required.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time. The employee must frequently go into non climate-controlled manufacturing facilities to connect with and assist management and team members with HR-related issues. The employee is occasionally required to lift to 15 pounds.
