An Addison Group client is looking for a Conflicts Coordinator to join their team. This is a remote opportunity, however, candidates should live close enough to an office to go in occassionally.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee conflict resolution, ensuring appropriate waivers/clearances and approvals are obtained.
  • Process new business intake forms promptly within a 24-hour timeframe using Aderant Expert.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure accurate information for formal opening of new matters.
  • Dispatch engagement letters to Billing for creating rate codes for new billing clients, as necessary.
  • Determine attorney origination credits, update master spreadsheet with new credit splits, and modify information in Entity Manager within Expert.
  • Apply correct billing rates to each matter and establish bill cycles.
  • Conduct quality checks on matter data to ensure completeness for every new file.
  • Reopen files as needed, including rerunning conflicts and verifying matter parties, billing contacts, rates, and originations.
  • Close designated matters upon receiving staff emails, updating bill cycles to final for billing.
  • Make necessary record changes to files, including adjusters, addresses, offices, billing attorneys, clients, and bill cycles.
  • Manage Conflict and Records inboxes, ensuring requests are organized and completed promptly.
  • Maintain and update the conflict database with current client information and affiliate relationships.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of prior experience in New Business Intake within a law firm setting.
  • Proficiency in Aderant Expert and conflicts database software.
  • Strong understanding of conflicts of interest and principles of new business intake.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a high-volume practice and demonstrate initiative.
  • Excellent multitasking skills, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
