- Oversee and optimize revenue cycle management processes to ensure timely and accurate billing, collections, and revenue recognition.
- Partner with the accounting team to monitor and manage accounts receivable, focusing on reducing days outstanding and improving cash flow.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive KPI reports related to revenue cycle performance, including metrics such as collection rates, denial rates, and days in accounts receivable.
- Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis and revenue cycle performance.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to streamline processes and enhance revenue cycle efficiency.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management, highlighting key revenue cycle metrics and performance.
- Support month-end close processes by ensuring accurate revenue recognition and reconciliation of accounts receivable.
- Assist in the development and implementation of revenue cycle policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to revenue cycle management and financial performance.
- Continuously monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of revenue cycle management in the healthcare sector.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field; an MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis with a focus on revenue cycle management.
- Healthcare industry experience is required.
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle processes, including billing, collections, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information to senior management.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and compliance standards related to revenue cycle management.
