Started in 2011, The Ridge's primary program is a residential substance abuse facility in Batavia, Ohio. We are currently expanding our outpatient services in surrounding areas at our Joint Commission Accredited programs.

We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant to aid in the day-to-day processes of up to 80 employees.


Responsibilities: 

  • Perform various support tasks, including clerical, administrative, sourcing, payroll, and benefit duties, for HR staff and/or operations
  • Prepare reports, presentations, schedules, correspondence and meeting notes
  • Maintain various documents, staff files, supplies, shipments, invoices, transactions, and communications
  • Perform basic research to support staff
  • Correspond with and answer questions from internal or external staff, individuals, and/or parties in a timely manner
  • Identify and/or escalate issues for additional investigation to support HR operations
  • Develop and demonstrate understanding of and perform tasks following company policies, federal and state regulations and procedures
  • Review documentation for quality control
  • Maintain databases and/or spreadsheets to track and/or document HR activities
  • Mentor and/or train less-experienced staff
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and other activities
  • Assist with new hire orientation
  • Verify employee references
  • Handle pre-employment processes
  • Aid in organizing staff appreciation events
