Job Summary:

The Temporary Recruiter position is remotely based, with operations in the U.S., and has overall responsibility for sourcing and recruiting candidates for manufacturing, logistics, and distribution roles, while assisting the Senior Recruiter and permanent recruiter with additional recruitment efforts as needed. This position reports directly to the Senior Recruiter and does not have direct reports.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively sources, screens, and engages candidates for manufacturing, logistics, and distribution roles using various channels such as job boards, employee referrals and social media.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and desired candidate profiles for various positions within the company.
  • Reviews resumes and applications, conducts initial screenings, and assesses candidates' qualifications, skills, and experience to determine suitability for open positions.
  • Coordinates and conducts interviews using behavioral and competency-based interview techniques to evaluate candidates' fit for specific roles.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely updates, feedback, and guidance to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with candidates, keeping them informed about job opportunities, company developments, and industry trends.
  • Works closely with the Senior Recruiter, permanent recruiter, and HR team to support overall recruitment strategies and initiatives.
  • Assists with other recruitment efforts as needed, including roles outside of the primary focus areas such as retail and Customer Support Center (CSC) roles.

Competencies (skills, knowledge, and abilities):

  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Results-driven mindset, with the ability to set and achieve recruitment goals, measure success metrics, and continuously improve recruitment processes.


Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition roles, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.

  • This position does not require travel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk while conducting candidate interviews, reviewing resumes, and coordinating recruitment activities.
  • Proficiency in using computers and keyboards to input data, manage applicant tracking systems (ATS), and communicate with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Ability to type on a keyboard.
  • Ability to hear and talk.
  • Requires close vision for computer work and reviewing correspondence.
