This is a remote opportunity with future possibility of becoming hybrid - candidate must be in local to the DC/MD/VA area (Arlington VA).
Daily Responsibilities
- Design and develop instructional approaches and/or strategies to meet training requirements.
- Compile training and media requirements.
- Research and identify data sources for instructional material development and additional information needed for supporting instructional materials.
- Interacts with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to acquire supporting materials.
- Develop appropriate training objectives and test methods and designs instructionally valid and engaging training materials for a variety of delivery methods, including instructor-led and computer-based, web-based, and mobile training.
- Ensure integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans.
- Assist with designs and develops computer-based training, web-based training, electronic performance support systems and other technology-based learning solutions.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen as mandated by our government client.
- Must be able to qualify/hold a Public Trust Investigation AND be able to qualify/hold a future secret clearance.
- Must be local to the DC/MD/VA metro area, no convenience travel.
- 4+ years of instructional design experience.
- Demonstrated experience with at least two types of digital learning solutions (including, but not limited to: e-learning courses, mobile learning, simulations, microlearning, ePublishing, blended learning/flipped classroom, and games.)
- Demonstrated ability to develop training objectives, design learning solutions, and produce evaluations.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively write, review, and edit content.
- Demonstrated ability to apply learning theories and models to different learning contexts.
- Demonstrated experience working with project teams (such as Graphic Artists, Developers, and Editors) to produce professional e-learning content.
- Ability to work independently, be proactive, and work well in a team environment.
- Experience copyediting and proofreading.
- Strong verbal interpersonal and writing skills.
- BA/BS degree in Journalism, English Communications, or related field.
