Location:

This position requires an onsite presence at our Bradenton office. As an integral member of our team, you will be collaborating closely with colleagues in a dynamic office environment. About the Role:

As an Audit Staff, you will be responsible for performing audit procedures and assisting the team with preparing financial statements. This includes procedures such as testing transactions (disbursements, payroll, and revenue), as well as auditing balance sheet accounts (such as cash, property & equipment, and accounts payable). Audit Staff also assist the team in performing analytical procedures for major financial statement categories.


Position Responsibilities and Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of accounting is required
  • Generally, a minimum of 0-3 years of relevant audit experience within a public accounting firm
  • Understand and utilize CS&L’s Audit Methodology
  • Perform audit procedures as directed by peers in charge of assigned balances.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other audit deliverables.
  • Prepare and adjust work papers accordingly.
  • Obtain a basic understanding of the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
  • Displays the ability to independently identify problem areas early, research technical issues, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Travel to local client sites is expected almost daily with out-of-town travel ranging 10-20% of the time.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and use of internet resources.
