POSITION SUMMARY

The individual in this role is accountable for the complete life cycle of inventory, which includes requisitioning and storing. They are also responsible for related areas such as inventory control, discrepancy resolution, and inventory inspection in accordance with company regulations and safety standards.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives returned material stock and assesses its suitability for restocking through disassembly, inspection, and evaluation.
  • Utilizes a computer terminal to accurately record and account for material issues, returns, and receipts, including new materials and associated back orders. Adheres to strict accounting procedures.
  • Conducts weekly cycle counts of inventory materials based on computer-monitored suggested re-order listings.
  • Organizes and maintains warehouse and inventory areas to facilitate efficient material storage and handling. Implements and maintains a labeling system for each stock item. Manually stocks inventory shelving with received or returned stock items.
  • Conducts thorough research and documents inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and propose potential solutions.
  • Collaborates with key personnel to implement process improvements that enhance location accuracy and overall productivity levels.
  • Expedites the daily flow of all special order SKUs, including labeling, locating, and ensuring timely shipping.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves any issues related to special orders from the time of receipt.
  • Ensures that the unit of measure for received items matches the unit of measure for outgoing items.
  • Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.
  • Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-conscious culture.
  • Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification; 1 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Outlook, ERP Systems preferred
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Has the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

This role involves working in a warehouse setting. In the warehouse, standard equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, cameras, and material handling equipment (Reach Truck, Forklift, Order Picker, Pallet Jack, etc.) are used.

  • Talking and Hearing Frequently communicates with colleagues, co-workers, and customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
