Exceptional NC company is searching for a Senior Internal Auditor to join their team. Our client has exceptional / best in class benefits and work culture The Senior Internal Auditor will be part of a high-functioning internal audit team and play an integral role in ensuring corporate policies are adhered to within SOX guidelines. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead audit work including design of audit plan, testing of controls, reporting of results to management and performance of remediation as needed
  • Perform SOX testing and work with internal and external customers (specifically external auditors) to ensure appropriate controls environment and testing
  • Obtain understanding of industry to allow for design of audit projects that will ensure protection of corporate assets
  • Communicate audit results effectively with all members of leadership, with both written audit reports and in presentations
  • Work closely with other Internal Audit team members and leadership to ensure Internal Audit objectives are met

Minimum Qualifications for the Senior Internal Auditor include:

  • BS/BA in Accounting, with advanced degree strongly preferred
  • CPA and/or CIA strongly preferred
  • Big 4 public accounting experience required
  • SOX testing experience required
  • 3+ years of experience within public accounting or a combination of both public accounting and corporate internal audit role
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong ability to work within a team, and work collaboratively with a variety of groups
  • Strong desire to learn and grow

This position is mostly remote and candidates must be willing to commute to Greensboro or Raleigh office a few times per month. Our client has a preference for the candidate to reside in NC. Qualified candidates should apply directly to posting at www.banyansearch.com.
