Job Description

The Accounting and Payroll Specialist plays a crucial role in the ongoing success of The Oxford Group and their related entities by ensuring smooth financial operations. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing payroll accurately and timely, including calculation of wages, taxes, and other deductions
  • Ensuring employee benefit changes are processed in the payroll system properly
  • Recording payroll records in the accounting software
  • Entering invoices from vendors and managing timing of payments
  • Maintaining accurate books for all related entities, including complicated inter-company transfers and adjustments
  • Coordinating accurate customer billing in partnership with management at each related entity
  • Maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal taxes
  • Assisting with monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects and tasks as required
  • Other duties as assigned


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Highly motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work efficiently in fast-paced, remote environment
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) for diverse teams in multiple locations
