Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Repair Planner to join our team at Newell’s Auto Body. The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive industry, be organized, detail-oriented, and have a strong understanding of auto repair processes. As a Repair Planner, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating repairs for damaged vehicles, ensuring that they are completed efficiently and according to our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and assess damaged vehicles to determine repair requirements and estimate cost of repairs
• Create and maintain accurate repair plans, including detailed itemized lists of parts, labor, and time required for each repair job
• Communicate with customers, insurance companies, and technicians throughout the repair process to ensure seamless workflow and customer satisfaction
• Order necessary parts and schedule repairs to meet deadlines and maximize efficiency
• Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure timely delivery of parts for repairs
• Troubleshoot and solve any issues that may arise during the repair process
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain relationships with customers, insurance companies, and vendors
• Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and techniques to continuously improve repair processes and efficiency
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent, vocational or technical training in automotive repair is a plus
• 10 years of experience in the automotive repair industry, with knowledge of repair processes and estimating techniques
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, insurance companies, and technicians
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of repair jobs simultaneously
• Proficiency in computer systems and software related to the automotive industry
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Salary: $31,000 to $48,000 yearly
