Responsibilities:

  • Apply soft skills, empathy, and understanding when interacting with residents to address their concerns and maintenance requests
  • Ensure residents feel heard, respected, and satisfied with the service provided
  • Perform basic plumbing tasks such as replacing wax rings, unclogging drains, and fixing leaks
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing issues efficiently to minimize disruption to residents
  • Handle basic electrical tasks on 110v systems, including replacing outlets and light fixtures, and troubleshooting minor electrical problems
  • Ensure all electrical repairs meet safety standards and regulations
  • Perform drywall repairs, including patching holes, sanding, and painting to restore surfaces to their original condition
  • Address cosmetic and structural issues to maintain the property's appearance and integrity
  • Work collaboratively with fellow technicians and team members, fostering a supportive and cooperative work environment
  • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to enhance the overall skill set of the maintenance team
  • Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to complete work independently without constant supervision
  • Take the initiative to identify and address maintenance issues proactively

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus
  • Experience in basic plumbing, electrical work, and drywall repair
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and understanding
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable with climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces
  • Capable of performing physical labor and working in various weather conditions
