Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Procurement Planning:

    • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and project requirements.
    • Forecast procurement needs and budget accordingly.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

  2. Supplier Management:

    • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
    • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.

  3. Procurement Operations:

    • Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock.
    • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

  4. Team Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and implement professional development plans.

  5. Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards in all procurement activities.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.
    • Implement best practices for procurement and supply chain management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and services is highly desirable.
