This is a new position for our company so the best candidate will be experienced and flexible as we learn and grow with the position.

We currently have established relationships in the multi-family industry in south Orange County and we are looking for the right candidate to expand our customer base.  This will be a base plus commission job based on service orders made by new customers you procure.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and research potential clients within the multi-family housing sector, including property management companies, HOA's and commerical real estate management companies.
  2. Develop and maintain a strategic sales plan to target key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts.
  3. Conduct outbound sales activities, including cold calling, email outreach, and networking events, to establish initial contact and schedule meetings with potential clients.
  4. Conduct face-to-face meetings and presentations with prospective clients to understand their needs, demonstrate our products and services, and negotiate contracts.
  5. Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales support, marketing, and operations, to coordinate efforts and deliver solutions that meet client needs.
  7. Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  8. Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline progress, and market insights to management through CRM software or other reporting tools.
  9. Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network with potential clients, showcase our products/services, and stay connected with industry peers.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement to improve sales performance and achieve targets.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in a sales role, preferably in the electrical services, lighting, construction, or related industry.

  2. Understanding of Multi-Family Housing Sector: Knowledge of the multi-family housing market, including key players, industry trends, and customer needs. Experience working with property management companies, real estate developers, and construction firms is a plus.

  3. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate product features, benefits, and value propositions effectively to diverse audiences. Active listening skills to understand client requirements and concerns.

  4. Relationship Building: Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders. Skill in cultivating rapport, trust, and credibility to drive business growth and customer loyalty.

  5. Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiation techniques with the ability to handle objections, resolve conflicts, and reach mutually beneficial outcomes.

  6. Self-Motivated and Results-Driven: Self-starter with a proactive approach to sales activities and achieving goals. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively to maximize productivity and drive revenue growth.

  7. Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of electrical systems, lighting fixtures, and related products/services is desirable. Ability to grasp technical concepts and convey them to non-technical audiences.

  8. Adaptability and Resilience: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, customer preferences, and organizational priorities. Resilience to overcome rejection, setbacks, and challenges inherent in the sales process.

  9. Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Willingness to collaborate with internal departments, share insights, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

  10. Valid Driver's License/Reliable Vehicle: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for traveling to client sites, meetings, and industry events as needed. Mileage will be reimbursed.
