  • 4+ years of Commercial Surety experience within a Commercial Insurance Brokerage
  • P&C Insurance License.

Secondary Skills:

  • Underwriting experience is nice to have 
  • Experience with Renewable Energy Surety Products - highly attractive.

Surety Account Executive – Renewable Energy

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and retain existing book of business and pursue new opportunities for the book, where appropriate, including a specific business plan for growth
  • Provide customer support with all levels of customer’s decision-makers as well as day-to-day technical customer representatives
  • Develop and pursue cross-selling opportunities with Customer Account Managers
  • Monitor level of customer service and assist with claim issues as needed
  • Follow-up to address and resolve customer complaints and resolve any problems or issues
  • Encourage and coordinate teamwork and communication among those who service customers
  • Ensure proper resources from within the organization are involved and introduce new products/processes to improve customer experiences
  • Create and oversee customer service plans for customers and understand the needs of the customer
  • Prepare customer presentations and new business strategies, including proposals while ensuring agreement with customer’s requests and requirements
  • Set regularly scheduled meeting on a frequency that is appropriate for each customer
  • Present proposal to customers, ensuring appropriate teammates and resources are represented and/or attend
  • Assist the Customer Account Managers with the collection of receivables
  • Maintain good relations with carrier personnel
  • Exercise considerable discretion and independent judgement
  • Keep current on marketplace changes and inform customer as necessary
  • Become significantly involved and develop expertise in a declared sector or market area by networking and participating in professional development activities

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in the field of business or financial related field is preferred with three (3) years of related insurance experience; other combination of work and/or education will be considered
  • Intermediate understanding of insurance and business terminology is preferred
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor with above average empathy, able to read the subtleties of non-verbal communication and respond accordingly
  • Strong, consistent, and assertive communication skills
  • Fluent with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Word, and Excel
  • AMS360 experience or skills to learn software program at an accelerated ability
  • Property & Casualty License
