Reports to: CEO 

 

Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, accounting principles, and team leadership. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. 

  

Responsibilities: 

·         Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and revenue recognition. 

·         Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. 

·         Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. 

·         Coordinate and lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with financial goals. 

·         Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement. 

·         Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance and reporting. 

·         Lead and develop the accounting team, providing training and mentorship to enhance performance. 

·         Collaborate with external auditors and advisors for annual audits and financial reviews. 

·         Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making and business growth. 

·         Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. 

·         Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. 

 

Qualifications: 

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or MBA preferred. 

·         Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a management role. 

·         Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting. 

·         Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Office Suite. 

·         Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 

·         Strong leadership and team management abilities. 

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

·         Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
