About the Investment Accountant position

The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation has an immediate opening in its Flint office for an Investment Accountant to join a four-person team responsible for all accounting, payroll, payment processing and financial reporting of this large, international organization. Responsibilities

Responsible for accounting, reconciliation and reporting of investment activity and holdings. Process corporate credit card transactions, accounts payable for Facilities, maintain fixed asset schedules and track Program Related Investments. Assist in the compilation of information for the annual audit(s) and tax return(s). Prepare accounting and analytical reports and other tasks as assigned. Back up other positions in the Accounting Department as needed. Qualifications and requirements

A bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA or equivalent experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Three to five years of relevant accounting experience. Solid analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. The capacity for independent judgment. The ability to work effectively with people. The position requires an on-site presence in the Flint office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Friday. Employees may flex their hours earlier in the week to work a half day on Friday, and they also have an additional bank of remote-work days each year. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
