We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Director of Finance to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, supervising, and developing our Accounting Staff, including Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable and a Controller. You will be instrumental in leading cross-functional communication to develop and streamline business processes, ensuring effectiveness and sustainability. Your expertise in increasing ERP System adoption and identifying opportunities for process improvement will be essential in enhancing business visibility. Additionally, you will play a key role in successful merger and acquisition integration efforts and elevate the financial business acumen of our cross-functional teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Exhibit proficiency in evaluating and nurturing talent to align with the company's short-term and long-term strategies.
- Manage, supervise, and develop Accounting Staff (AP/AR & Controller) to ensure high performance and alignment with company goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and streamline business processes, challenging existing methods to enhance effectiveness and sustainability.
- Drive the adoption of an ERP System within the organization, identifying opportunities for process improvement in both accounting and non-accounting areas to increase business visibility.
- Lead the development of annual and routine Business Plans and forecasts that drive growth and profitability.
- Perform monthly pricing and bridge analyses, presenting findings to cross-functional teams and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure optimal net working capital processes are in place and drive initiatives to maintain efficiency.
- Conduct ROI analyses with cross-functional teams on major business investments or projects to support decision-making.
- Proactively analyze and identify business risks and opportunities, leading the team in developing and implementing action plans.
- Review and ensure compliance with all accounting requirements and routines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to prevent issues.
- Manage relationships with external CPA firms and oversee annual audit processes.
- Lead successful merger and acquisition integration efforts.
- Elevate the financial business acumen of cross-functional teams.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree required (a degree in accounting or finance, preferred); candidates with a finance degree should possess solid accounting knowledge or hands-on experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3 plus years of hands-on cost accounting experience in the manufacturing industry.
- 3 plus years of experience in leadership and team management, with a demonstrated ability to foster talent development.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Syteline, Epicor, Infor, JDE preferred).
- Advanced user of Excel and database queries.
- High energy, self-motivated, and results-driven individual.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and change management abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills, including effective workload management.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Highly analytical with a proactive and growth-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable with innovative thinking and skilled in concise communication.
- Ability to drive measurable results and enact positive change within the organization.
Compensation: 145k+ DOE
