Position Details:

Role Purpose

The VP of Finance operations of Favorite Healthcare Staffing will be responsible for supporting the CFO and partnering with the Favorite Executive Cabinet and Acacium Group teams to develop and enhance the existing Favorite operational finance functions of payroll, billing and credit control.

Favorite Healthcare Staffing is the 8th largest healthcare staffing firm in the USA. In 2021 it was acquired by Acacium Group, a UK based global healthcare solutions business.

Favorite has experienced extremely rapid growth over recent years, the role of the VP of Finance Operations is to develop sustainable profitability and consistent cash collections within a scalable business that can be subject to volatility of revenues and complexity of pay/bill processes. Opportunities for operational enhancements have been identified (including optimization/re-engineering, automation, and outsourcing of certain finance processes) and the VP of Finance Operations will lead on delivery of these initiatives.

Favorite has operations across the US but the finance function is based in Overland Park, Kansas. It is expected that Favorite will assimilate other finance teams over time, starting with TNS US an Acacium Group Healthcare Staffing business based in New York and potentially further acquisitions as they are made. The VP of Operational Finance will assist with these assimilations in time.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for all operational finance processes comprising candidate payroll, billing and accounts receivable. These are key processes at the core of the Favorite business, they have consistently adapted to the challenges of Covid but there is significant opportunity for process optimisation.
  • Support development of and execute Favorite's operational finance transformation plans to enhance client and candidate experience, and improve productivity and cash collections in respect of existing services.
  • Understand and optimize the company's payroll and contract to cash cycles.
  • Develop and foster collaboration between the company's and Operational VPs, AR Director, Director of Payroll, Director of Legal and Rates and Legal Counsel to help verify the fulfilment of contracts (as a pre-requisite to receiving remittance).
  • Review and assess the organisational design of the existing operational finance team (circa 60 people). Work with the Favorite and Acacium Journey Optimization teams to implement changes to be able to efficiently and effectively deliver the activities above.

Experience required
  • Essential
    • Highly numerate - qualified CPA or other finance qualification
    • Experience within a large staffing payroll group
    • Experience re-engineering complex payroll/billing processes
    • Proven leader who can shape and motivate teams to deliver on objectives
    • Experience of running a large operational finance team, including payroll, billing and accounts receivable
    • Ability to plan and deliver change within the operational finance function including automation and/or outsourcing
  • Desired
    • Six Sigma (or equivalent) qualified
    • Experience in a process improvement, journey optimisation or similar role
    • Healthcare, life science or tech company experience
