Product Manager II
Resilia is looking to hire a Product Manager II to build user centric products nonprofits and funders love to use to meet their capacity building goals. This product manager will work within the Funder Solutions pod, helping grantmakers — who we call "funders" — connect with their grantees and other organizations in our ecosystem. The role will report directly to the Chief Product & Technology Officer.
Our Product and Pods
Resilia’s product is a two-sided platform with one side for nonprofit end users and another for funders (e.g, community foundations, corporate foundations, and government offices) who are purchasing access to the platform on behalf of themselves and 15-50+ nonprofit grantees. Think of it a bit like Uber with one side for the driver and one side for the passenger, except in our case, the funder is paying for access to the services while the nonprofit gets access for free.
Our Research and Development (R&D) team works in three cross functional pods made-up of a product manager, product designer, engineering manager, and a handful of software engineers. The Funder Solutions (aka Funderstorm) pod has worked on recent projects like grantee cohort management administration, AI-powered portfolio impact reporting and digests, collaborative goal setting and reporting features, and are taking on much more capabilities that connect funders with their grantees over the next few quarters.
What to Expect:
First Week: You will receive a 30-60-90 day onboarding plan, get set up with all the technologies that support your work in a remote environment, and start to meet other Resilians.
First Month: You will establish relationships with your pod leads, onboard onto your pod’s area of ownership, and contribute to current work on the pod. You will monitor key product KPIs and metrics, evaluating performance to guide continuous improvement. You will delve into the nonprofit and philanthropic industry, getting to know our users and their pain points through our voice of the customer (VOC) initiative, Gong calls, feedback surveys, and more.
First Six Months: You will engage, collaborate and align with stakeholders, client teams and your pod to manage expectations, experiment together, and build a cohesive cross-functional strategy. You will monitor industry trends to position Resilia as a leader in the capacity building space. You will act as a product evangelist for a pod’s strategy and overall Resilia product strategy, keeping the pod and stakeholders informed and excited about where we are going.
First Year: You will improve Resilia's product/market fit with funder focused solutions and capabilities that connect our funders with their grantees and nonprofits in our ecosystem.
About You
You're jazzed about being the primary product manager assigned to a pod focused on how we can better meet the needs of funders
You have 4-6 years experience working as a product manager in a cross functional development pod and are able to lead design initiatives centered on the user
You believe in the impact and importance of design in creating features and products users love and love to use
You use an outcomes oriented product prioritization approach combined with strong experience in and a commitment to user research
You engage users through a well rounded toolkit of qualitative and quantitative methodologies in partnership with Design
You continuously test the market to ensure a product is moving toward product/market fit
You seek to understand the full lifecycle our users through both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and create growth funnels and frameworks for experimentation
You actively listen and share relevant information, adopting a continuous feedback approach to ensure a high-performing pod
You place trust in your team's skills and allow designers to own their pod’s domain work
You thrive in an environment where one needs to embrace change, ambiguity, and speed while keeping the best interests of the company and the buyer/user front and center
You believe that there is huge long-term potential in working for a mission-oriented venture-backed SaaS startup seeking to transform the sector from funder-driven to nonprofit first
You’re committed to living the operating principles that guide how we work: Be Lionhearted, Put Nonprofits First, Move the Needle, Elevate Equity, and — especially important for this role — Create Gathering Places
Where and When We Work
We’re a remote-first company with team members across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. For the most part, we work on East Coast hours. We do have clients who work from Eastern to Pacific time and do our best to accommodate their schedules. Provided team members are achieving their goals, we support flexibility and encourage Resilians to work in the way that works best for them.
