NOTE: These positions can be based at either our Madison or Appleton, WI branch and travel to customers.

Great Lakes Roofing Corporation seeks Outside Sales Representatives to join our service-oriented team. You will be responsible for creating roofing solutions for both current and new customers. Hint: you don't have to know roofing to provide stellar customer service. 

The ideal candidate will have 5 years prior experience in face-to-face sales or a related field and excellent follow-up skills. He/she will be an expert communicator with proven success in negotiations.

Responsibilities for Outside Sales Representatives: 

  • Client support and networking – Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their needs. Create value propositions to alleviate customer pain points. Respond to and fix issues that arise throughout the sales cycle. Maintain consistent contact with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that anticipates their needs.
  • Reporting –  Maintain daily reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business and any other issues within our CRM. Provide periodic territory sales forecasts as requested.

Requirements to be our Outside Sales Representatives: 

  • Five years of B2B, face-to-face negotiated sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proven organizational skills and demonstrable attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Driven, competitive nature able to excel in fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements of Outside Sales Representatives:

  • Overhead lifting of 50lbs several times a day
  • Ability to lift, carry & set up 40ft. ladder several times a day
  • Climb ladder carrying 30-40lbs of gear to rooftop
  • Be comfortable outside in all types of (safe) weather while on rooftops 
  • Physically handle roofing materials
  • Take & record accurate measurements-read tape measure
  • Correctly map out (draw) rooftop data
  • Visually notate & accurately record roof problems
