We are looking for a Senior GAAP Accountant to join our team You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.
Our Company, a rapidly expanding manufacturing organization located in Westfield, Indiana, is actively seeking a Senior GAAP Accountant well-versed in applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to join its corporate headquarters. Established in 1961, the company recently adopted an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), providing team members with an opportunity to become 'owners' and participate in the company's future success. Operating dynamically across diverse markets and serving numerous customers in multiple countries, this organization is positioned for sustained growth.
The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Director of Accounting and will also have regular interaction with the Company’s CFO. This role will work alongside other accountants at the corporate office while also collaborating with the Company’s global accounting staff. Hybrid is available for this position, with the opportunity to work two days remote per week. This is an exciting opportunity for someone that wants to grow within an organization or for someone that wants to share their experience with a growing team.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
The candidate should be able to make an immediate impact to the organization. He or she must be proficient with balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting. The position’s primary responsibilities will include:
- Balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, consolidation and financial reporting.
- Initial subject matter authority on applying GAAP.
- Coordinating the annual external financial statement audit
- Opportunities to perform financial analysis, engage in process improvement, drive process documentation and participate on cross-functional teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Required)
- CPA license
- 3+ years of public accounting experience
- 3+ years of reconciliation and month end close experience
- Moderate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables & v-lookup at minimum)
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent cultural fit
Additional characteristics that would be a competitive advantage are:
