We are currently looking for a Chef/Manager to work full time at our Reading, PA Unit (Zip Code 19605) unit. This position is Monday- Friday with day shift hours (6:00 am - 2:00 pm). This is an Hourly Position. No Weekend Hours.

In order to be considered for this unique position you must have a high Level of Culinary Experience including creative recipe and menu planning and food production. You also must possess strong management skills and be organized. This position interacts with a management team within a corporate dining environment. Other job responsibilities include:

  • Maintain all controllable expenses at acceptable levels to insure increased profit results, especially in the area of payroll controls.
  • Ensure a safe, secure work environment for employees and customers.
  • Responsible for a well maintained environment at your location through effective use of sanitation reports, safety evaluations and other tools which may be required by the client.
  • Implement all scheduled events as necessary.
  • Responsible for menu creation, order placement, employee scheduling and other documentation as required.

You must have very good communication skills and have a positive attitude.

The ability to multi-task is also a must. ServSafe Certified is preferred but not required (Heathland will assist you in obtaining a ServSafe Certificate

A focus on customer service is also required.
