Job Title: Master Level Mental Health Counselor / Registered Intern / Licensed Counselor
Job Description: The Candidate will provide mental health and substance abuse counseling services to female youth ages 11 to 17 in a foster care setting. The Candidate must have experience providing trauma-informed care to abused and traumatized female clients, completing bio-psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, managing/optimizing treatment conditions/environment, and completing ancillary documentation.
Qualifications: The Candidate must possess a Master’s degree in the health sciences, be a Registered Intern, or have a License to practice in Florida. The Candidate must have or can obtain a Medicaid provider number and National Provider Identification (NPI). The Candidate must have experience working with abused and traumatized female youth between the ages of 11 and 17. Please note the girls reside in a foster care setting. The Candidate must possess the following:
• Must have a master’s degree in the social and behavioral healthcare sector and/or be a Registered Intern in Florida.
• Must have 1-3 years of experience completing biopsychosocial assessments.
• Must have 1-3 years of experience diagnosing and treating mental health problems using cognitive behavior and other applicable treatment modalities.
• Must have at least one year of experience providing substance abuse counseling, knowledge/familiarity with the 12 steps to recovery, and substance abuse counseling principles and methods.
• Must have 1-2 years of experience developing and implementing treatment plans.
• Must be proficient with clinical documentation and record-keeping.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office Word
• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Must be willing/able to travel at least 25 miles radius to perform initial intake and assessment.
• Must be able to pass level 2 background screenings through local law enforcement, the Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement, and the FBI
Pay Scale:
• $30 to $42.50 per billable hour (Reimbursement dependent on qualifications, experience, and ability to complete documentation).
Type of Position: Part-time - 1099 Contractor. 20-25 client caseload.
Please note that this is a position working with female youth ages 11-18 y/o with histories of suffering abuse, neglect, abandonment, and human trafficking.
Positions available: (1-2) Positions in Orange County, i.e., Oviedo, Lake Nona, Downtown Orlando, and Dr. Phillips.
