Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support our kitchen staff by performing various tasks, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. If you have a passion for food and enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, we’d love to hear from you

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and ensure they are properly stored.
  • Help with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock.
  • Assist in basic cooking tasks under the supervision of the chef or cook.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen supervisor or chef.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Food handler’s certification or ability to obtain one.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
